Savinho's career at Manchester City
Savinho joined Manchester City from sister club Troyes in July 2024 in a deal worth £30.8 million after spending the previous season on loan at Girona in Spain.
Although Tottenham also held talks over signing him last summer, City were not prepared to sell. The club instead handed the Brazilian a two-year contract extension in October, tying him to the Etihad Stadium until 2031.
Manchester City's competition limits opportunities
Savinho enjoyed regular involvement during his first season under Pep Guardiola, making 48 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals.
His playing time became more limited during Guardiola's final season in charge, featuring in 36 matches across all competitions. Competition for places increased with Rayan Cherki, who arrived from Lyon last summer, and January signing Antoine Semenyo also operating on the right flank.
