Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 for £42.5m, acknowledged his connection to Manchester, where he grew up and where his family still lives. However, he insisted that he does not feel homesick in London and does not miss being there.
He explained that while he occasionally returns home, it does not create a desire to leave Chelsea, emphasizing that he is settled and focused on his current situation rather than any potential move.
The 23-year-old reinforced his position by pointing to the contract extension he signed in 2024, which keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2033. This agreement highlights his long-term commitment to the club despite ongoing transfer speculation.
After making a strong impression with 43 goals in his first 97 appearances across his initial two seasons, Palmer has scored 10 times during the current campaign. Reports had suggested that a dip in form might be linked to personal factors, but he rejected those claims.
Instead, he stressed that his focus remains on contributing to Chelsea’s objectives, with the team still competing in key competitions.
Chelsea currently sit sixth in the Premier League and are aiming to finish in the top five to secure Champions League qualification. They also have an FA Cup semi-final against Leeds ahead, adding further importance to the remainder of the season.
Palmer noted that achieving a place in Europe’s top competition would strengthen the club’s ability to attract new players. However, he also revealed that he and captain Reece James have already discussed squad improvements with the club’s ownership.
