Al Qadsiah's resolute defensive performance against NEOM Sports Club has earned three of their players places in the Matchweek 22 Team of the Week. Goalkeeper Koen Casteels delivered a masterclass, making seven saves and recording 14 recoveries to secure his sixth clean sheet of the campaign in a 1-0 injury-time win.

The Belgian No.1 was protected by an impressive backline featuring two of his club teammates. Waleed Al Ahmed, a winter signing from Al Taawoun, excelled after coming on at halftime, helping contain threats from Alexandre Lacazette and Luciano Rodriguez. Uruguayan defender Gaston Alvarez completed the defensive trio, winning two tackles and seamlessly integrating alongside Real Madrid great Nacho during the tactical reshuffle.

Al Hilal stars maintain title charge

League leaders Al Hilal placed two key figures in the weekly XI following their 2-0 victory over in-form Al Ettifaq. Senegal center-back Kalidou Koulibaly, fresh from signing a new contract, delivered another commanding performance to secure his fourth clean sheet in 11 appearances.

Roaming ahead of Koulibaly, Saudi international Mohammed Kanno opened the scoring against his former club with a 13th-minute strike. Club captain Salem Al Dawsari also found the net, adding to his legendary status with a performance that included four crosses and five successful dribbles, earning him another place in the best XI.

Al Ahli's attacking duo continue scoring form

Third-placed Al Ahli contributed two attacking stars to the team following their 5-2 triumph in a seven-goal thriller at Al Shabab. Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie produced a sublime dinked finish to put his side 2-0 up, leading the match with three shots.

England international Ivan Toney consolidated his position as the league's leading scorer with another converted penalty, while also providing his fifth assist of the campaign. Teammate Riyad Mahrez excelled alongside him, supplying a delicate through ball for an assist and adding a goal of his own, leading the contest with three chances created and three successful dribbles.

Additional standout performances

Al Ittihad defender Hassan Kadish earned selection as the hero of his team's 2-1 win against Al Fayha, netting the winner seven minutes from time while contributing a game-high 86 touches. Al Hazem winger Nawaf Al Habashi was pivotal in his side's home victory, creating five chances and providing the assist for RSL all-time top scorer Omar Al Somah's winner.
