Power Dynamos arrived in Cairo needing a victory to advance, and they began with the requisite urgency. However, Pyramids broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when Zico powered home a header from a corner. The visitors responded immediately, equalizing just two minutes later through Frederick Mulambia's close-range strike.
Pyramids quickly reasserted control, with Obama restoring the lead before halftime after collecting a clever reverse pass and firing low past the goalkeeper. After the restart, Jurčić's side dominated possession and patiently probed for openings. Ewerton capped a dazzling solo run midway through the second half, cutting inside from the left and curling a right-footed shot into the far corner to seal the result.
The victory confirmed Pyramids' status as serious title contenders as they advance to the quarter-finals. In the group's other fixture, Morocco's RS Berkane secured second place with a 3-0 victory over Nigeria's Rivers United, earning 10 points and joining Pyramids in the knockout stage.
