Al Rayyan produced an astonishing finale to escape with a 3-3 outcome against Qatar SC during the closing fixture of Week 15 in the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League, staged at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.

The visitors appeared beaten when the clock ticked deep into added time, trailing by two goals and facing defeat away from home.

Instead, two strikes beyond the 90-minute mark transformed the contest and ensured the points were shared in extraordinary fashion.

First-half swings set the tone

The contest opened with early attacking intent from both sides, and Al Rayyan struck first when Roger Guedes curled home a free kick in the 21st minute.

Qatar SC responded swiftly, with Ali Saoud levelling matters three minutes later by finishing off a clever reverse pass from Joao Pedro.

Momentum shifted just before the interval as Pedro unleashed a powerful effort in stoppage time of the first half to give Qatar SC a 2-1 cushion at the break.

Goals rain late as drama unfolds

Qatar SC strengthened their grip late on when Soria Sebastian benefited from a deflection in the 88th minute to extend the lead to 3-1, seemingly putting the match beyond reach.

Deep into added time, Aleksandar Mitrovic rose to meet a cross from Khaled Ali Binsabaa, heading in to reduce the deficit and spark hope for Al Rayyan.

With virtually the final action of the encounter, Rodrigo Moreno stunned the stadium by smashing in a left-footed volley, completing an improbable comeback.

The result left Al Rayyan holding on to fourth position with 25 points, while Qatar SC remained seventh on 21 points after a match that slipped from their grasp.
