Mike Maignan made eight saves and Adrien Rabiot scored a brace as AC Milan came from behind to beat Como 3-1, cutting Inter’s Serie A lead to three points.
AC Milan produced a resilient comeback to beat Como 3-1 away from home on Thursday night. The Rossoneri recovered from an early setback at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Mike Maignan delivered a standout performance between the posts. The win moved Milan back within three points of Serie A leaders Inter.
Inter had briefly stretched their advantage to six points with a midweek win over Lecce. Milan responded under pressure with a vital result on the road. Adrien Rabiot scored twice after the break. Christopher Nkunku also found the net from the penalty spot in added time of the first half.
Como began the contest with confidence and intensity. Their early pressure was rewarded after 10 minutes. Marc Oliver Kempf rose above Youssouf Fofana to head home Martin Baturina’s cross. The hosts continued to push forward with purpose.

That chance arrived late on. Rabiot struck again with two minutes remaining. His low drive from distance beat Butez to seal the points. It was his first away brace in the top five European leagues.
Como created plenty of opportunities and enjoyed 68 percent possession. They registered 18 shots and an expected goals figure of 1.87. Milan managed just seven attempts with an xG of 1.28, boosted by the penalty. Maignan finished with eight saves on the night.
The win extended Milan’s unbeaten Serie A run to 19 matches. It is their longest such streak since 2005. Milan have now won five straight league games against Como. Rabiot also reached a personal milestone with his first league brace since 2023.
Milan return to San Siro on Sunday night. They host Lecce with momentum restored. Allegri’s side will aim to maintain pressure on Inter at the summit. Como face another test of character when they travel to Lazio looking to bounce back from their first home league defeat.
