
Mohamed Salah scores a stoppage time winner as Egypt recover from behind to beat Zimbabwe 2-1 in their opening Africa Cup of Nations match
Egypt opened their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a dramatic comeback win. The seven-time champions beat Zimbabwe 2-1 in Agadir. It was a tense night despite Egypt’s dominance. Mohamed Salah delivered the decisive moment in stoppage time.

Egypt face South Africa next in Group B. The match takes place in Agadir on Friday, December 26th. Zimbabwe travel to Marrakesh to meet Angola on the same day. Both teams will chase vital points.
