
Fulham struck twice in the opening six minutes to beat Tottenham 2-1, sealing their first win at Spurs in 12 years despite a second half fightback.
Fulham stunned Tottenham with two goals inside six minutes to secure a 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The visitors made a blistering start and punished Spurs' early mistakes in front of more than 60,000 fans. It was their first away league win of the season and their first victory at Spurs in 12 years.
Kenny Tete opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a deflected effort from the edge of the box. Two minutes later, Harry Wilson capitalised on a Guglielmo Vicario error, curling home from long range after pressuring the goalkeeper into a poor clearance.
Tottenham were second best throughout the opening period, conceding early and losing their shape. Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze caused repeated problems, hitting the post and forcing last-ditch defending from Micky van de Ven.
Spurs struggled to create chances, recording no shots on target in the first half. Their delivery from wide areas was especially poor, with numerous crosses failing to reach a teammate. The home fans expressed their frustration, booing at half-time and after the final whistle.
Thomas Frank’s side came out stronger in the second half and pushed Fulham deeper into their own half. Randal Kolo Muani threatened early, while Pedro Porro finally delivered quality from the right.
Spurs found a breakthrough in the 59th minute. Lucas Bergvall lifted a clever ball over the defence and Mohammed Kudus volleyed into the top corner to make it 2-1. Spurs continued to push but lacked precision in the final third.
Fulham’s early clinical finishing defined the game. Tete was excellent at both ends, while Wilson remained a constant danger with his movement and decision-making. Chukwueze also impressed, creating several openings and unsettling the Spurs defence.
Kudus stood out for Spurs with his energy and well-taken goal. Van de Ven delivered crucial defensive interventions that prevented the scoreline from worsening. Despite their improved second half, Tottenham’s early mistakes proved decisive.
Fulham scored twice before the sixth minute, marking the earliest two-goal deficit Spurs have faced at home in Premier League history. Spurs managed only two shots on target all match. Fulham, meanwhile, had no efforts between the 13th and 73rd minutes yet remained in control.
