Mbappe and Bellingham Fire Real Past Valencia to Extend La Liga Lead

Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham starred as Real Madrid beat Valencia 4-0 at the Bernabeu to extend their La Liga lead to seven points.

Madrid Tighten Grip on La Liga

Real Madrid strengthened their position at the top of La Liga with a commanding 4-0 win over Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu. Kylian Mbappe scored twice, Jude Bellingham added a superb strike, and Alvaro Carreras completed the rout.
The victory gave Los Blancos their fourth consecutive league win, pushing them seven points clear of second-placed Villarreal. It also marked their tenth win in eleven league outings this season, which highlights their dominance in both attack and defence.
Valencia, meanwhile, endured a difficult night in Madrid. They conceded two penalties, one of which was saved, and offered little resistance against a relentless Real side full of confidence.

Mbappe’s Double Leads the Charge

All eyes were on Kylian Mbappe before kickoff as he presented his 2024–25 Golden Boot to the home crowd. Minutes later, he reminded everyone why he remains Europe’s most feared forward.
His first goal came from the penalty spot in the 19th minute after a handball by Cesar Tarrega, calmly slotting home to put Real ahead. He doubled the lead soon after, finishing expertly from Arda Guler’s precise cross following a slick move started by Bellingham.
The Frenchman’s brace took his tally to 16 goals in 13 matches this season. His chemistry with Bellingham and Guler continues to flourish, giving Real a potent attacking trio that few defences can contain.

Bellingham and Carreras Add to the Tally

After Mbappe’s quick double, Real continued to press for more. Vinicius Jr saw his penalty saved by Julen Agirrezabala following a foul by Thierry Correia. But the miss mattered little as Bellingham struck moments later.
The England midfielder created space on the edge of the box before curling a perfect shot into the bottom corner. His goal made it 3-0 before halftime and capped off another assured display from one of Europe’s brightest stars.
In the closing stages, Alvaro Carreras produced a moment of brilliance, smashing home a stunning left-footed shot from a tight angle to seal a comfortable victory.

Standout Performances

Mbappe and Bellingham stole the spotlight, but Real’s dominance was collective. The Arda Guller, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Jude Bellingam trio dictated play in midfield, while Eder Militao and Dean Huijsen marshalled the defence effectively. Alvaro Carreras impressed with his creativity, scoring to round off a perfect night for Madrid while Federico Valverde provided another stellar performance out of position at right back.
Valencia struggled to find rhythm, managing only one shot on target all evening. Their defensive lapses and lack of cutting edge in attack highlighted the growing gap between the two sides.

What Comes Next

Real Madrid now shift focus to the Champions League, where they face Liverpool at Anfield on November 4 in a rematch of past European finals. They return to La Liga action on November 9 with an away fixture against Rayo Vallecano.
Valencia will hope to regroup when they host Real Betis at the Mestalla on November 9 before the international break. A positive result in the match will be crucial if they are climb out of the relegation zone.
