The squad, widely known as the Nashama, concluded the tournament after a narrow 3-2 loss to Morocco in an action-packed final played at Lusail Stadium on Thursday.

Despite missing out on the trophy, the team’s return was marked by national appreciation for its efforts and performance throughout the competition.

Royal praise for unity and image

King Abdullah II voiced admiration for both the players and their supporters, noting that they demonstrated togetherness and mutual support while projecting a strong national image, JNA reported.

In a message shared on the X platform, the monarch said Jordanians had appeared as a single body, with the squad and crowd together expressing the finest qualities of the country.
