The opening goal arrived shortly before halftime when David Neres reacted quickest after Hojlund’s pull-back was stopped, forcing the ball over the line from close range.
The advantage was strengthened in the second half as Hojlund, formerly of Manchester United, drove a low effort beyond the goalkeeper on 63 minutes to put the contest beyond Milan’s reach.
Following the match, Napoli skipper Giovanni di Lorenzo highlighted the attitude shown by his side throughout the semi-final.
