The Egyptian Football Association confirmed on Tuesday that it has concluded a settlement with ex-national team manager Rui Vitoria, bringing an end to every legal claim connected to his financial rights.
According to an official release, the understanding was finalized at the headquarters of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
Both sides, the federation added, conveyed reciprocal respect and appreciation during discussions that led to the resolution.
Vitoria assumed responsibility for the Egyptian national side in July 2022 under an arrangement scheduled to last until the summer of 2026.
His tenure ended in February 2024 after Egypt exited the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations earlier than expected.
Following his removal, the Portuguese coach lodged a case with CAS requesting the total remaining value of his deal, while the EFA argued that only the termination condition applied.
Across his spell in charge, Vitoria oversaw 18 fixtures, recording 12 victories, five stalemates, and a single defeat.
The federation expressed gratitude for the commitment and professional conduct he showed while leading the team.
Egypt appointed local coach Hossam Hassan on 6 February, a change that preceded qualification for both the 2025 AFCON tournament and the 2026 World Cup.
