This move makes Michel the third managerial departure from the RSL this campaign, following the exits of Laurent Blanc from Al Ittihad and Javier Calleja from Al Riyadh.
In an official statement released on Sunday, the club confirmed the decision was the result of a planned review process aimed at aligning the team's progress with its long-term strategic objectives. The statement expressed the board's "sincere appreciation and gratitude" for Michel's professionalism and dedication, noting that he "will always be regarded as part of the Al Qadsiah family."
Michel's time with the Al Khober-based club will be remembered for significant success. He masterminded the team's promotion to the Roshn Saudi League and, in their return season, guided them to a remarkable fourth-place finish. Under his leadership, Al Qadsiah also reached the King’s Cup final, where they were ultimately defeated by champions Al Ittihad.
The club stated it is now moving swiftly to appoint a new head coach to ensure a smooth transition, with a further update promised imminently. Al Qadsiah's next league fixture is scheduled for December 27 at home against Damac.
