The Roshn Saudi League announced a shift in its Matchweek 10 fixtures for the 2025-2026 season after the Saudi national side earned a place in the semi-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup.
Games that had been arranged for 19–21 December will now be held between 22 and 25 February.
This alteration stems from a notice circulated to all 18 clubs on 25 November, outlining that a change would be made if the Green Falcons qualified for the last four.
Saudi Arabia secured that spot on Thursday in Qatar, defeating Palestine 2-1 with a late extra-time strike.
League officials stressed that the competition calendar remains aligned with the national team’s schedule. They emphasized that adapting league dates helps preserve fair conditions for all sides involved.
The SPL noted that ensuring flexibility around international involvement continues to be a priority.
By managing the domestic timetable, organizers aim to maintain rhythm and balance throughout the campaign.
The league confirmed it will keep coordinating with its member teams and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. This joint effort also includes collaboration with organizational partners throughout the season.
Officials underlined that such cooperation is essential to avoid disruption.
The SPL stated that maintaining high standards within the Roshn Saudi League remains central to these decisions.
