Barcelona have faced challenges in adjusting to the 1:1 rule, leading to rumors of possible player departures during the January transfer window. Among the names mentioned is Roony Bardghji, who has struggled to secure consistent minutes since joining from Danish side FC Copenhagen.

Despite these reports, Bardghji has made it clear that leaving is not on his mind. In an interview with Fotbolskanalen (via MD), the winger expressed satisfaction with his current situation at the club. He emphasized the strong relationship he has with coach Hansi Flick and the trust he feels from both the manager and the club. “I feel great. I’m improving every day and learning a lot. I’ve had quite a bit of playing time, so I feel great. I am patient. I’ve been here for three or four months,” Bardghji explained.

Limited opportunities, memorable moments

Since his arrival in Catalonia, Bardghji has made nine appearances across all competitions, starting only twice. One of his most notable outings came in El Clasico, where he entered as a late substitute during Barcelona’s 2-1 loss at the Bernabeu.

For Bardghji, the experience of participating in such a high-profile match was unforgettable. He described the intensity surrounding the game and the emotions involved, highlighting the significance of facing Real Madrid in one of football’s most celebrated rivalries.

A valuable option for Flick

Although Bardghji finds himself behind Lamine Yamal in the pecking order for the right wing position, he has still proven to be a useful option for Hansi Flick. Given this and his positive attitude, there appears little reason for him to consider leaving during the upcoming winter transfer window, even amid Barcelona’s ongoing financial challenges.
